Description
Hurricane Preparation and Recovery Breakfast
The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Hurricane Preparedness Breakfast. Every year residents of Aransas County are reminded of the vulnerability of this coastal community to hurricanes and floods. Residents need to know what to do for their families and businesses and where to go should the threat of hurricane (or any disaster) become real. Speakers who will provide information about what to do are: Kharley Smith, Emergency Services Director/EMC, Hays County; Don Ferguson, Wimberley city administrator; Race Hodges, CFM, Resiliency Program Coordinator with Texas A&M University at the Texas Coastal Watershed Program (TCWP); and Rick McLester, Aransas County Emergency Management Coordinator. Lots of valuable information will be provided. There will be a drawing for a Ready America Hurricane Emergency Kit donated by the Business Builders Committee.
