2nd Annual LAC Poker Run

Description

Join us for the 2nd Annual Leadership Aransas County Poker Run, "Let’s Get Wild! Benefiting Aransas First Land Trust" on Saturday, March 23rd! The fun begins at 10 AM at the Sugar Shack, where we'll embark on a day of excitement and friendly competition.

Cost is $20/per head. 

Teams are welcome and costumes are encouraged! Prizes for the best hand and the best dressed! All participating bars are golf cart accessible and extra points if you decorate it!

How It Works: 

Start your adventure at the Sugar Shack, then hit the road to visit the participating bars in any order of your choosing. At each bar, collect a card so by day's end, you’ll have 6 cards to complete your poker hand. Make sure to be back at the Sugar Shack by 3 PM for the poker hand judging and you’ll have a special chance to swap one card for a potential winning hand! Bring extra cash as we’ll have all sorts of fun games, auction items, and food back at Sugar Shack after the Poker Run!

Once we’re all back at Sugar Shack by 3pm, you can purchase a delicious shrimp boil courtesy of Piping Hot Catering and explore a selection of our fantastic local auction items.

All proceeds are in support of the Aransas First Land Trust's initiative to construct a welcoming entrance for the Lamar-Burton Wildlife Sanctuary, enhancing public access and enjoyment.

Schedule of Events:

10AM - All players arrive at Sugar Shack for check in.

11AM - Poker Run begins.

3:00PM - Arrive back at Sugar Shack. Don’t be late!

3:30PM - Raffles/Games!

4PM - Winners announced.

4:30PM - Live Auction begins.
