DESCRIPTION:Pops in the Park is a unique\, family-friendly event that combines the magic of music\, a synchronized light show on the iconic Harbor Bridge and a magnificent fireworks display that fills the night sky with vivid colors. Celebrating our sixth year\, Pops in the Park has become a South Texas family favorite where children are able to play in the Kid's Zone throughout the performance and are introduced to various musical instruments in the Instrument Petting Zoo. The event kicks off with a pre-concert show which includes performances by student musical groups and civic organizations\, a salute to the military\, and culminates with the sounds of the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra. This year's concert\, presented by Valero Energy Foundation\, takes the audience on a "Great American Road Trip." Guest Conductor Lee Gwozdz and the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra will take the audience on a journey of music across the United States from New York\, to Chicago\, down to Texas\, and out to the Wild Wild West! Buckle up and enjoy the ride!
