DESCRIPTION:Rockport-Fulton Chamber offers virtual or in person seminar to assist small businesses prepare for natural disasters\n\n \n\n(ROCKPORT-FULTON) The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce is stepping up to help small businesses prepare their business for a hurricane with local business owners as presenters for the Lunch and Learn Tool Kit Talk from 12 pm to 1 pm Tuesday\, Sept. 1 in person at the Chamber or on ZOOM. \n\n \n\nSmall businesses along the Gulf Coast region can take advantage of a free video series\, in English and Spanish\, made possible through grant funding from the U.S. Economic Development Administration. The series "Preparing Your Business for a Natural Disaster" includes five 7- to 13-minute videos designed to help small businesses make necessary preparations in the event of a natural disaster. Small businesses can better prepare for natural disasters like hurricanes by setting up emergency communications plans for employees and customers and thinking ahead about insurance and financial management. Planning ahead leads to quicker recovery\, more solid financial footing and continued operations.\n\n \n\nThe Rockport-Fulton Chamber is inviting you to do this together. "We'll watch the video then discuss\," said Melanie Head\, one of the presenters.
