DESCRIPTION:April 15\, 10am- "Student Art Celebrating History" Celebrate history as portrayed by area students. The exhibit will open Saturday\, April 15th at 10am. Pastries and drinks will be served. Youth will showcase original art illustrating historical themes including ships\, historic buildings\, trains\, fashion\, cattle/ranching\, and the environment. Prizes will be awarded by age categories. \n\nApril 15\, 10am - Ice Age in S. Texas: Fossils from near Bluntzer- Join Friends of the History Center to explore the prehistory Ice Age fauna from a nearby Nueces River gravel pit. The dis[play has actual fossils and a mural of South Texas during the Ice Age that was provided by the Corpus Christi Geological Society. Their objectives are to inspire visitors to become aware of how the animal life\, the plants\, and land has changed through time.
