DESCRIPTION:Leadership Aransas County (LAC) Alumni Association will host a Candidates Panel & Issues Forum consisting of the contested candidates running in the November 6 General Election for the Aransas County Navigation District in Precinct 1 and Precinct 4-4A.\n\n \n\nJoin us for the Candidates Panel & Issues Forum and get answers to your questions. Each candidate will have a 3 minute opening statement. Audience will ask a question to a specific candidate and candidate will have 1 minute to respond to each question. Opposing candidates will be given one minute for a rebuttal. At the end of the evening each candidate will be given one minute for a closing statement.\n\n\n\nCome for the panel and enjoy refreshments sponsored by the Leadership Aransas County (LAC) Alumni Association. \n\n\n\nAbout Our Emcee ...\n\nKatia Uriarte of KRIS TV Channel 6 will moderate the event.\nKatia Uriarte is a Reporter for KRIS 6 News. A native of Honduras\, Uriarte grew up in New Orleans\, but has become a household name in the Coastal Bend.\n\nAs a senior at Loyola University in New Orleans she took a communications class and fell in love with the rush of putting together a newscast. The responsibility of telling a fair story. And let's be honest\,  the lights and camera were fun too. Eighteen years in this business and her passion for news has grown stronger. She has lived in Corpus Christi longer than anywhere in her life and calls Corpus Christi her home. She is raising her son here so he will know the love of having the beach a short drive away. The wind that makes the area memorable.
