DESCRIPTION:SEA SCIENCE\n\nSUMMER 2017\n\n\nMarine Life: Class will provide a comprehensive view of a variety of marine creatures in our local waters. Hands-on opportunities for examination of select species will develop an understanding of different adaptations to marine habitat.\n\nKayaks & Critters: Class will emphasize learning proper kayak skills from a certified instructor. Course to include entering/exiting and paddling techniques all with an emphasis on safety. Observe & learn about the many critters that live in and around the bay.\n\nWonders of Water: Class will demonstrate ways the oceans are used to benefit man - in addition to providing seafood. Activities will demonstrate water pressure\, principles of submarine operation\, and barge transportation compared with overland transportation.\n\n\n\nClasses will include STEM (science\, technology\, engineer\, math) educational components.
